RT’s Three Key Takeaways:
- NiteWatch Launch: ReactDx introduces NiteWatch, an FDA-cleared device for conducting type III home sleep tests.
- Health Monitoring: The device measures six health parameters and is validated against polysomnography.
- Integrated Platform: ReactDx’s platform is designed to streamline the prescription of sleep and cardiac tests for timely and accurate diagnoses.
ReactDx, a division of React Health and integrator of sleep and cardiac diagnostics, has launched the NiteWatch home sleep test.
NiteWatch is a US Food and Drug Administration-cleared device for conducting type III home sleep tests. Worn on the wrist and finger, it has been validated against polysomnography (PSG) studies for sleep apnea and sleep staging.
“We recognize the critical role that sleep health plays in overall well-being, particularly its relationship with cardiac health, and are committed to improving access to essential diagnostic tools,” says Bill Shoop, CEO of React Health, in a release. “The NiteWatch is designed to complement existing services by offering a different point of entry for patients who might otherwise go undiagnosed.”
Monitoring Features
NiteWatch measures six distinct channels: SpO2, photoplethysmogram, pulse rate, airflow, respiratory effort, and heart rate variability.
This data collection enables detailed reporting on total sleep time, sleep stages, central sleep apnea index, and oxygen desaturation index. The device integrates with a mobile app, making it easier to access and interpret results quickly, according to a release from ReactDx.
ReactDx Platform
ReactDx’s unified platform enables clinicians to prescribe home sleep tests and ambulatory cardiac monitoring through a single web-based portal. This streamlined process helps ensure patients receive timely and accurate diagnoses by providing access to essential diagnostic tools at an earlier stage in their healthcare journey.
“Our mission is to bridge the gap between these critical areas of health, providing physicians with the tools they need to offer comprehensive, timely care to their patients. NiteWatch represents our commitment to innovation and improving patient outcomes through advanced technology,” says Shoop in a release.
ReactDx offers support through its affiliated company, Circadian Health, and other partners. Services include overreads, telehealth visits, and ongoing clinical assistance, making it easier for non-sleep specialists to incorporate sleep testing into their practice. This integrated approach is designed to eliminate the traditional silos in healthcare, ensuring that patients receive holistic care that addresses both sleep and cardiac health.
