This May marks the Pari Inc 100-year anniversary of working with aerosol delivery systems. In 1906, the company, founded in Wuppertal, Germany, and now with US headquarters in Monterey, Calif, and Midlothian, Va, began working with whirlpool baths to help people who had respiratory diseases.
In the 1920s, Pari launched the “aerotherm device” that created whirlpool baths. Then in 1933, as a pioneer in injection molding, the company developed the first plastic nebulizers for aerosol respiratory treatments. Previously, nebulizers were only made of glass, and the introduction of plastic increased the performance and improved the reproducibility of the nebulizer while reducing manufacturing costs.
Today, Pari continues to develop nebulizers and compressors that enhance its base of aerosol delivery and humidification devices.
