For years, simulation educators have looked to the SimCapture simulation management system to help them manage, record, debrief, and assess their simulations to ensure high-quality training programs – but AV hardware requirements often place constraints on where they can conduct their sessions.
SimCapture Mobile Camera is a new, app-based live-streaming option that gives educators greater flexibility in how and where they can run SimCapture sessions – without requiring any new hardware purchase. When configured with a SimCapture Cloud account, the SimCapture Mobile Camera app acts as a live, portable camera for SimCapture sessions, providing an alternative to a traditional IP camera.
“We know that many educators depend on SimCapture to manage their simulations – but that they also seek greater flexibility in where they can conduct training without losing any features,” said Tara Searight, Director of Product Management at Laerdal. “We’re excited to release the SimCapture Mobile Camera app to make “on-the-move” simulation possible – opening doors to create realistic training opportunities that will help prepare learners to deliver safe and effective patient care.”
Key features of the SimCapture Mobile Camera app include:
- Simple, mobile extension of sim lab capabilities – without compromising access to key data and reports for effective sim center operations.
- More, varied learning opportunities
- Easy to implement, use, and maintain
SimCapture Mobile Camera is expected to be available in early 2024.
