Cosmed has launched the 2nd generation of Omnia Software, the most comprehensive Data Management platform for Metabolic, Lung Function and Body Composition Assessment.

Omnia is the way users interact with almost all Cosmed products and it is much appreciated from all existing or potential customers, especially when it comes to the comparison with similar available software. Cosmed is committed in continuously improving Omnia user experience based on customers and collaborators feedback and it strives to be up to date with scientific community news or trending features.

Starting from October 2024, Omnia 2.4.2 has been released, enabling greater performance with new software functionalities and enhancements.

Omnia 2.4.2 is available for both Omnia Standalone and Omnia Network versions.

The previously released Omnia 2.4 version, was only compatible with Q-NRG Max device, due to regulatory reasons. This version extend the benefits of version 2.4 to all applicable Cosmed devices and includes some other minor improvements.

New Features

  • Compatibility with Q-NRG Max device, the new portable and easy to use device for for VO2 Max and Resting Energy Expenditure assessment.
  • Energy Balance tool to define the total energy expenditure (TEE) based on the measured REE and the entered lifestyle and activity levels.
  • Customization of Compact PFT Report to increase the personalization of lung function assessment results.
  • Oxygen Desaturation Index (ODI) classification to evaluate obstructive sleep apnea disorders.
  • New lung function parameters: FEV3/FEV6%, FEF25-75%/FVC, P0.1/MIP.
  • New language: Ukrainian.

Improvements

  • Improved installation wizard to simplify the upgrade procedure to newest software versions
  • Update pre-test Q-Box calibration images to guide the users during the procedure.
  • Default ethnicity settings to reduce time to test and user clicks.
  • Information automatically sent to HIS when entering electronic signature.
