Fisher & Paykel Healthcare has launched its F&P Nova Micro nasal pillows mask in the United States, the company’s lightest and smallest CPAP therapy mask to date.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare launches its F&P Nova Micro nasal pillows CPAP mask today in the United States.
Weighing less than 1.4 ounces (40 grams), the new compact mask features minimal, easy-adjusting headgear and a soft MicroPillows cushion that nestles gently within the nostrils and inflates to conform to the patient’s nose, facilitating stability and freedom of movement.
“The Nova Micro is another strong addition to our mask portfolio, and we are thrilled we can offer it to patients in the US,” says Steve Wilson, VP sales & marketing North America for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, in a release.
Nova Micro is F&P’s smallest and lightest CPAP mask to date. It is the company’s volumetrically smallest CPAP therapy mask (the considered volume of the mask excludes the tubing).
It was designed around the principle “less is best”—for patients looking for a mask that will provide them with a natural sleep experience without compromising on comfort or performance.
“With the introduction of Nova Micro, alongside our recently launched F&P Solo AutoFit mask and F&P Evora Full, we can now address a diverse array of patient needs and preferences,” Wilson says. “The F&P Solo AutoFit mask stands out in its category with its auto-adjusting headgear, while the Nova Micro fits universally with conventional headgear. With these additions we can cover all segments of customer requirements, offering a comprehensive range of mask options in the United States.”
The Nova Micro headgear is one size. It has dual-sided adjustments enabling users to fine-tune on each side of the face. The MicroPillows cushion is available in three sizes (small, medium, and large).
The mask is supported by positive internal validation trial results:
- 97% of 39 users rated the feel of the F&P Nova Micro CPAP mask pillows in their nose as “soft” or “very soft,” and
- 100% of users rated the overall performance of the F&P Nova Micro mask as “good” or “very good.”
