ReddyPort has released a 24-hour NIV Oral Care Kit, with a new soft-pack design enhanced to meet the special clinical needs of noninvasive ventilation patients, according to a company news alert.
With our new 24-hour NIV Oral Care Kit Soft Pack design, ReddyPort maintained 7 sleeves of appliances reflecting a standard Q4 VAP oral care protocol.
The Soft Pack features 3 sleeves containing a Silicone bristled Toothbrush (instead of 2) to address the need for routine and compliant (2 minute) toothbrushing essential for de-colonizing the mouth and HAP (Hospital Acquired Pneumonia) mitigation.
Also, ReddyPort’s new 24-hour kit includes a 1.5oz bottle of an 0.05% of CPC antiseptic rinse that offers the clinician the right mix of oral de-colonization without upsetting the delicate balance of the microbiome compared to rinses comprised of hydrochloric acid. Placement of our 24-hour kit in the patient’s room is made easy with a ring sized aperture for easy hanging.
“Since our launch in March of 2021, ReddyPort’s original 24-hour oral care kits combined with our elbow have successfully serviced over 6,000 patients and 24,000 oral care sessions without risking NIV mask removal (a costly interruption of therapy and lung compliance),” the company says.
“Using feedback from Physicians and Critical Care Nurses, ReddyPort developed our new Soft Pack packaging (instead of box material) flexible to allow for easier storage and placement in the patient’s room for convenient administration to the patient.”
