A look at oximetry and patient monitoring technology from Masimo, Nonin Medical, and more.

Nonin Medical

The WristOx2 3150 USB features Nonin PureSAT SpO2 technology to deliver fast, accurate oxygen saturation and pulse rate readings in challenging conditions, including low perfusion and motion. The device, produced by Nonin, provides continuous, reliable pulse oximetry monitoring and data recording for overnight oximetry studies at home, in the hospital, and in sleep labs.

Thought Technology

Thought Technology’s TPS Sensor is the first in the eVu product line of biomedical-grade devices designed to work wirelessly, via Bluetooth, with Android smartphones and tablets. The TPS sensor stands for triple physiology sensor, which represents the three measurements it collects: temperature, heart rate variability and skin conductance.

Masimo Corp

The FDA has cleared the Rad-67 Pulse CO-oximeter with Spot-check Next Generation SpHb monitoring technology and the rainbow DCI-mini Reusable Sensor, according to Masimo Corp. Rad-67 offers rainbow noninvasive hemoglobin measurement (SpHb) and Measure-through Motion and Low Perfusion SET pulse oximetry in a compact, portable spot-check monitoring device. When used with the rainbow DCI-mini sensor, Rad-67 provides spot-check monitoring with Next Generation SpHb.
