The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) has announced the recipients of its 2024 Zenith Award, recognizing companies that have made significant contributions to the respiratory care industry.
The 2024 Zenith Award recipients are:
- Aerogen
- Dräger
- Medline
- Monaghan Medical Corp
- React Health
- Respiratory Associates
- Vapotherm
- Vero Biotech
This year, the AARC revamped the Zenith Award process by moving from a voting system to a nomination-based approach. AARC members nominated companies based on various criteria, including the quality of their products or services, responsiveness, service records, and support of the respiratory care profession.
“The AARC Zenith Award is the ‘people’s choice’ award for the respiratory care profession, with respiratory therapists choosing the recipients of this prestigious award,” reads a news post from the AARC.
For Dräger, this is the 13th time the company has received the award. Dräger notes in a release that it continually invests in developing new technologies and solutions, such as its new Evita V600, V800, and Babylog VN800 ventilators, based on customer requirements for improving patient safety, patient outcomes, and hospital workflow.
“This award validates Dräger’s longstanding commitment to the respiratory care profession, which extends from our CEO, Stefan Dräger, to our employees who support respiratory care professionals on a daily basis. We pledge to continue this commitment in the future,” says Lothar Thielen, president and CEO of Dräger, in a release.
Brent Furse, CEO and president of Vero Biotech, the company behind Genosyl DS, the first tankless inhaled nitric oxide delivery system approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, says in a release that Vero Biotech is “humbled to be recognized by this elite organization and remain committed to the RT community.”
Bill Shoop, CEO of React Health, a sleep, oxygen, and ventilation solutions provider, says in a release, “This award reflects our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality products and services that empower healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes. We are grateful to the respiratory care community for this incredible recognition and remain dedicated to advancing respiratory care through innovation, collaboration, and excellence,” says Shoop.
The award will be formally presented at the AARC International Respiratory Congress in November, held in Orlando, Florida.
