The VenTrainer App is a free mobile simulation app designed for clinicians working with mechanical ventilators in critical care and emergency medical services. It was introduced by Hamilton Medical in December 2023.
Key updates include:
- Multilingual support: The app is now accessible in Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Korean, and Russian, broadening its reach and usability for a global audience.Â
- Expanded ventilation modes: New modes have been added for both active and passive patients. The SPONT, NIV‑ST modes are now available for Hamilton‑C6/C1/T1/MR1 ventilators, while the IntelliVent‑ASV mode has been added for Hamilton‑C6 ventilators (excluding Quick Wean).
- Enhanced training tools: A new info button in the simulation menu offers a comprehensive list of shortcuts for adjusting patient conditions, providing invaluable assistance during training sessions.Â
- Improved NIV simulation: Users can now easily adjust the leakage level during NIV simulation using a convenient shortcut.Â
- Advanced time‑lapse function: The time‑lapse feature during simulations can now be quadrupled, allowing users to increase the speed from 2x to 8x and from 4x to 16x with a simple double‑click on the multiplier.Â
