Chest Wall Innovations Inc has commercially launched its PC Fix Rib Fixation System, which is designed to treat patients suffering from traumatic chest injuries.
The solution is available in both PEEK (polyether ether ketone) and titanium.
The system, which was granted FDA 510(k) clearance in April 2026, gives surgeons the flexibility to choose intrathoracic or extrathoracic approach. It is the first and only intrathoracic PEEK rib fixation system available.

Surgical stabilization of rib fractures (SSRF) is increasingly becoming the standard of care for select patients, and the American College of Surgeons’ November 2025 Best Practices Guidelines for the Management of Chest Wall Injuries outline when surgical repair should be considered. As more trauma programs adopt SSRF, PC Fix gives surgeons a simple, efficient option for chest wall repair, according to the company.
