Nihon Kohden’s NKV-440 Ventilator System is FDA-cleared for use across neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. The NKV-440 features an internal HEPA-filtered turbine, which removes the requirement for external compressed air and increases mobility within the facility. The system provides up to five hours of operation using hot-swappable batteries and includes a trolley with an oxygen cylinder holder. For lung protection, the ventilator includes “Gentle Lung” recruitment tools and a Recruitment Assessment (RA) application. These features allow clinicians to assess lung recruitability and perform standardized stepwise recruitment maneuvers and PEEP titration to determine optimal compliance.

Nihon Kohden NKV-330 Ventilator

Nihon Kohden offers the NKV-330 Ventilator System, an FDA-cleared noninvasive ventilator designed to provide respiratory support for adult and pediatric patients weighing at least 12.5 kg. The ventilator provides continuous monitoring of CO2 when used with the cap-ONE NIV mask, which allows for quality monitoring directly from the ventilator. Designed for in-hospital transport, the NKV-330 can be undocked with one hand and attached to a bedrail mount. The device features a total battery run time of five hours, consisting of a four-hour hot-swappable main battery and a one-hour internal backup battery.
