Two new Zoll Medical products — the Zoll AED 3 defibrillator and the Mobilize Comprehensive Rescue System — are being honored by Occupational Health & Safety magazine as “2020 New Products of the Year.”
The two products are being recognized for outstanding product development by health and safety manufacturers for their ability to improve workplace safety.
“Zoll Public Safety is committed to providing intuitive and intelligent safety solutions in every public space around the world. Everything we do is designed to enable bystanders to act quickly, appropriately, and with confidence in medical emergencies,” said Elijah A. White, President of Zoll Resuscitation. “Whether it’s using an AED for the first time, administering CPR, or treating a life-threatening injury, our products provide step-by-step coaching and feedback to help save lives.”
The 12th annual New Product of the Year contest attracted entries in 26 award categories, with an independent panel of highly qualified judges choosing the winners. “OH&S has been celebrating innovation and products optimized to keep workers safe for over 10 years. This year, safety products and services are being recognized on a global scale, bringing greater awareness to the important work completed by manufacturers in the industry,” OH&S Editor Sydny Shepard said.
Zoll AED 3
The intuitive design and enhanced features of the Zoll AED 3 defibrillator give unexpected heroes both the confidence and the knowledge needed to treat sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Proven Real CPR Help technology helps rescuers deliver high-quality CPR with real-time, guideline-driven feedback on the quality of chest compressions. It also features a full-color display with vivid rescue images, a CPR cycle timer, and a large color bar gauge that shows CPR compression depth.
The universal design of the CPR Uni-padz electrodes gives rescuers a single solution for both adult and pediatric victims of SCA. To treat a child, rescuers use the same set of pads and simply activate child mode. And WiFi connectivity enables automatic reporting of device status, giving the user confidence the AED is ready in an emergency. WiFi also provides the ability to quickly access and transmit cardiac arrest event data to medical professionals.
Mobilize Comprehensive Rescue System
Trauma is the #1 cause of death for people between the ages of 1 and 46, accounting for 30% of all lives lost in the US.1 The faster medical assistance is provided, the better the outcome. Zoll’s Mobilize Rescue Systems enable bystanders to play a more active role in responding to medical emergencies.
Mobilize Rescue Systems are designed to provide lay rescuers with equipment and guidance to help save lives. The Comprehensive Rescue System is Zoll’s most extensive set of medical and trauma supplies to help manage life-threatening issues such as severe bleeding, seizures, choking, hypothermia, broken bones, allergic reactions, and more.
The integrated system of medical supplies and an interactive app assist even untrained bystanders to assess and manage trauma and injuries in the critical moments before EMS arrives on scene.
Diagnostic prompts and real-time instructions provided through the app correspond to the medical supplies in the rescue systems. All supplies are color-coded and numbered, making it easy to locate the items you need and saving valuable time during an emergency.
