Draeger Medical Inc, Telford, Pa, is enhancing its exclusive partnership with Intensive Care On-Line Network (ICON) to provide clinical and educational support for Draeger ventilation equipment through the Internet. The Babylog 8000+ is now included in the partnership, which already consists of Draeger’s Evita and Savina ventilators. The partnership will allow Draeger customers to receive support from ICON clinicians while continuing to manage patients at the bedside.
ICON connects subscribers to a critical care resource center using telephone and broadband technology. ICON clinicians are certified and trained in the use of the Draeger ventilators and are available around-the-clock to troubleshoot problems. ICON is staffed with a multi-professional group including intensive care physicians, pulmonologists, and respiratory care practitioners.
“This relationship enables Draeger to provide a detailed level of clinical assistance and support that is not typically available to customers. ICON provides 24×7 clinical support from simple troubleshooting to the most critical of issues,” says Ed Coombs MA, RRT, and director of marketing for ventilation at Draeger.
