The Biden-Harris Administration's new rule has garnered support from patient organizations—including the Lung Association, AAFA, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Pulmonary Hyptertension Foundation—which applaud a move toward eliminating inadequate health insurance plans.
The American Lung Association Research Institute awarded $13.6 million in research grants to fund 129 projects to advance science and lessen the burden of lung disease.Â
The study is investigating the possibility that X-ray imaging, when used with artificial intelligence, could facilitate earlier diagnosis and eventually more effective management of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
