Inovytec Inc has signed a contract to supply the United States Army with its Ventway Sparrow Robust MILSTD, a lightweight, invasive/noninvasive ventilator, according to a company news announcement.
Ventway Sparrow Robust MILSTD is the company’s state-of-the-art ventilator specifically designed for military use. The device weighs only ~1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) and allows for both invasive and noninvasive ventilation for patients weighing above 5 kg.
“Ventway Sparrow’s innovative capabilities have been recognized and embraced by the US Army, underscoring its effectiveness and potential to revolutionize medical care in demanding and critical situations,” the company said in a press relaese. “This contract award demonstrates the tireless efforts and collaborative spirit of the talented teams at Inovytec, who relentlessly worked towards creating a cutting-edge device that surpasses industry standards.”
The company manufactures three models of the Ventway Sparrow, including one for civilian hospital use that received FDA approval in 2021.
