ndd Medical Technologies offers the EasyOne Sky, a new spirometry solution designed to address the global underutilization of spirometry and improve the early diagnosis of COPD, according to the company.
COPD affects more than 380 million people worldwide and represents a significant health and economic burden. Despite its prevalence, the condition remains underdiagnosed due to the inadequate use of spirometry, a tool required for accurate diagnosis. According to the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease, wider use of spirometry could help address delayed or missed diagnoses, which currently prevent patients from receiving timely care.
The EasyOne Sky features Buddy, a built-in spirometry coach that guides patients through testing maneuvers. The coach provides real-time feedback to help patients achieve reliable results and reduce the operational burden on healthcare staff.

The device utilizes patented TrueFlow ultrasound technology, which is designed to provide accurate flow and volume measurements for a lifetime without the need for calibration. The solution is compliant with 2019 American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS) standards and is cleared for market by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Additional features include electronic medical record (EMR) integration support through the nddCloud platform, which supports data exchange protocols such as HL7 and API.
