Instrumentation Laboratory, Bedford, Mass, will host a Webinar addressing regulatory concerns for operator competency for respiratory care professionals on June 29, 2011, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST. Titled “Understanding and Managing the Current Requirements in POCT Operator Competency Certification,” the Webinar will feature regulatory and clinical experts who will discuss the new requirements.

Speakers include James H. Nichols, PhD, DABCC, FACB, professor of pathology at Tufts University School of Medicine and medical director in the department of clinical chemistry at Baystate Health, Springfield, Mass, and Judith Yost, MA MT (ASCP), director of the laboratory services division at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Baltimore, Md.
