Sunset Healthcare Solutions will be honored during Premier Inc’s annual supplier Innovation Celebration at the 2025 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition.
The Innovation Celebration recognizes groundbreaking healthcare technologies that have been launched throughout the year and the ways these products are helping to improve the health of communities.
The Innovation Celebration recognizes the revolutionary Pediatric Device for Induction of Anesthesia, or “PeDIA” for short. PeDIA is the world’s first mask-optional induction system. Designed by a CRNA, PeDIA stops “brutane” mask induction and turns panic into play with a colorful balloon that allows children to put themselves to sleep rather than being forced to submit to an unfamiliar mask. PeDIA resolves the problems of traditional mask induction and fosters a sense of trust and patient satisfaction.

In addition to decreasing anxiety and trauma for children, PeDIA helps hospitals avoid preoperative sedation costs and delays, and aims to improve CAHPS, leaving patients and parents happy.”
Premier’s Innovation Celebration is entering its 14th year of recognizing and honoring supplier product innovations. With roughly 100 nominations annually, clinicians, physicians and supply chain experts nationally evaluate these technologies and services for their merit.
